Year 2009: Turning A New Leaf

Welcome back everyone. The changing leaves and cooler temperatures (in fact, we've already had a couple snow flurries) are signs that the new school year is in full swing at Norwich University. As the managing editor of the Guidon I would like to take this opportunity to welcome both students and faculty back to Northfield for another school year. I wish everyone the best of luck and I hope your studies go well and let you achieve whatever you set your mind to.

The Norwich Guidon has many changes this year. As you can see we have a new paper size, a new design of our masthead and a new Web site which should be up soon. At www.norwichguidon.com, you can find the same information that the hard copies provide and more. Headline news features will be posted same day so it will be a great resource to reach out to our campus as a whole at anytime.

The new Web site will contain regular polls, events, and up-to-date sports scores. We will have a larger photo collection with a wider spread variety of pictures from each event and even videos in the near future. We have hired new staff to work with just the Web site so we assure you that it will be top quality and we will try to always be up to date.

We hope the campus will utilize our new resource as it is a huge step for both Norwich University and the Guidon. Any advice or changes as well as story ideas can be submitted at Guidon@norwich.edu.
