I am currently a 7th grade ELA teacher in inner city Albany. I have held a position in this school for 5 years. In the short time here, I have been designated as the Head of the English Department, and the school?s Reading Specialist. I am especially proud of the fact that over 89 percent of my students passed last year?s state assessment, a dramatic increase of 37 percentage points from before my appointment to this position.
