Women's lacrosse wins GNAC

The Norwich women’s lacrosse team is headed to the NCAA tournament after winning its conference. “We played each of our conference teams and made it to the conference tournament,” said Beth Van Parys, head coach for the Cadets. “There was a three-way tie for first in the conference and also for fourth. Men's tennis posts best record in 11 years

At this time last year, he didn’t know what his future had in store for him. Through all the doubt, Norwich sophomore Collin Hyte paid no attention to the rumors he was hearing. “They were just rumors. Nothing was written in stone at that point so I figured I had nothing to worry about,” said Hyte, 19, a sophomore communications major from Marblehead, Mass.

Women's rugby goes to Final Four

Loses nationals, but ranks fourth in country

After not being eligible to attend USA Rugby nationals last year, the Norwich women’s rugby team was determined to go this year.  Their determination paid off. The Cadets made it to the Final Four of the USA Rugby National Championships, held last weekend in Palo Alto, Calif.

Men's lacrosse builds on season

“There is tremendous enthusiasm about lacrosse on the Norwich campus. This year the Norwich University men’s lacrosse team’s focus is on making the Pilgrim League Playoff, and coming together as a team,” said Neal Anderson, head men’s lacrosse coach.

Norwich tennis team thinks positive

The Norwich University men’s tennis team embarked upon its 2009-10 season when it hosted in-state rival Castleton State College at Shapiro Field House on March 10. The team is hoping to improve on last season’s overall record of 6-6 and a conference record of 2-2.

Women's hockey: A Cinderella story

Norwich hockey player Katie Leupp started her career at Norwich when the team was still a club team. She has watched the team grow over the years into a competitive varsity hockey team. “Being a senior, it’s amazing to see how far the program has come, seeing as though it was only a club team my freshman year,” said Leupp, a senior psychology major  from Burlington, Vt.

Tough loss marks end of women's basketball
