NU Presentation in Black?

Most may consider black attire classy and elegant, but every year when sports teams plead their case to have black uniforms with the director of athletics they are always shot down.

Black (team) travel attire will not be worn by our student athletes to represent our university. This is upsetting to many athletes and coaches alike.

According to one student athlete, "black is a classy color."

You never see anyone wearing white business suits, why can't NU get black travel suits and represent our institution just like anywhere else?

After all, communities aren't going to notice what color is worn, they are more likely to notice the attitudes student athletes hold and the way we represent our school. Many athletes feel black clothing would make no difference, and we agree.
