Little girls are told they can do anything -- become president or drive a truck. Women are even going to be allowed to serve on submarines. But try telling the roughly 250 registered female ski jumpers who compete at a top international level that they can do anything.
Dear ROTC scholarship students, I am writing regarding the recent story in Seven Days, “Corps Confessions.” I am the one responsible for the survey getting sent to you. I apologize to any of you who received the survey without a proper explanation that it was from a Seven Days reporter to be used in a story based on the survey results.
Most may consider black attire classy and elegant, but every year when sports teams plead their case to have black uniforms with the director of athletics they are always shot down. Black (team) travel attire will not be worn by our student athletes to represent our university.
From a civilian standpoint, it seems like there has been much complaining about the Corps of Cadets and their morning PT schedule and routes that they take. It has been much anticipated to get civilian students off the Upper Parade Ground for years now, and now that civilian students (with the exception of two floors in Dodge) have their own dorms the Corps can use the UP as they so desire.
The Monotony of the Norwich Cafeteria
Over the past year, there have been many changes at Norwich. There are new buildings and new bridges, and changes to the Corps of Cadets. But one thing hasn't changed--the food being served at the Wise Campus Center, provided by Sodexho. Out of curiosity, we asked students if they knew how often the menu changed at Sodexho.
