Vermont Fall

The leaves are changing, and the chill of fall has hit Northfield. Green turns to yellow, orange and red. Pumpkins line porches and a new smell fills the air. Leaves fly in the air and line the streets and Northfield’s “leaf sucker” makes its rounds. Vermont is one of the best places to see foliage.

Just a walk through campus will reveal what this season has to offer. While you’re hurrying to class, take a few seconds to look at the hills and the trees surrounding the university. This will be something nice to remember before the snow hits and covers everything in white and the temperature drops to an uncomfortable level.

Fall also means another thing … mid-semester break! There will be plenty to do this weekend even if you’re stuck on campus.

There is the Drop N’ Swap on campus. You can bring your old, used clothes on Friday, and take your pick from a TON of free clothes on Saturday.

There are some home games and matches this weekend, including women’s soccer, which is senior day, and men’s rugby.

So if you’re around this weekend, get out and enjoy the foliage and show some support for Norwich athletics and maybe even get a new outfit!
