Welcome back to another year, another semester and another issue of The Guidon, with several changes in policies and procedures.
There has been some confusion about whether The Guidon is censored by the Norwich administration. We would like to rebut those rumors: It is simply not true. The Guidon is not a censored publication.
President Schneider and other administrators do not read the paper before it goes to press, and they have no say on what articles run or what is included in the articles.
However, The Guidon is a faculty edited publication. The faculty advisor, Susan Youngwood, edits articles for grammar and makes sure no one is libeled and that no inappropriate material is included.
The Norwich Guidon has always been faculty edited and some students have mistaken this for faculty censored.
