First and foremost, a huge congratulations to the men’s and women’s hockey teams for their success this past season. We as a community hope for this success in upcoming years!

For many people there are a lot of things that Norwich does that they feel don’t make sense. A complaint we keep hearing among students is that if Norwich is going to put gates up to South Hall and The Upper Parade Ground someone needs to be available to let people into those areas for loading and unloading purposes. Sometimes there are people injured who have been turned down from accessing these places and it makes it difficult for loading and unloading purposes.

There have also been reports of students in the showers cutting themselves on the sharp edges of the metal showers. There are bases to the bottoms of these showers that should be installed for safety reasons. Because the showers are so small, some dorms have them, and others don’t. When someone over a certain height is in them reaching for shower supplies, it can be difficult and now even dangerous.

Reports of students finding dirty dishes and trays on clean racks in the mess hall have also been reported. It is said that there are still food particles on the trays, dishes and in glasses,  We are sure there is a reasonable explanation to this specific problem but is there something that can be done to solve it?

These are a few things that have been overheard throughout campus that have been an issue with students. Look for a story in an upcoming issue describing more in detail about these issues as well as input from the appropriate sources.
